What good things do you usually do for others without getting anything in return (sacrifice)?

Some guy got up, I felt like crap, wanted to sit...as we pulled into station I saw a cane, and said Oh...and kept standing. Some young punk took the seat, and of course the cane stayed on the platform for their usual unknown reason...
