It is not right to be quick to call someone a criminal just because they're not from our country.

Well on the contrary if someone is not from my country and comes here illegally by definition that makes them a criminal
SW-User
@SW-User Err no. Unless you know the reason they had to leave their country and risk everything, you're just making assumptions.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@SW-User how's that "on the contrary"? You're not contradicting anything here. You're just talking about a very specific thing.
SW-User
@SW-User if they arrived illegally yes they are a criminal technically. If they arrived legally that is different
SW-User
@SW-User Some of them have no option, they have to go somewhere, in lack of a home country, for example, and 9 out of 10 times they will initially be "illegal". So no. Not even technically.

@SW-User motive doesn’t matter. I’ll never talk shit about someone who has a small family and lives in a country where cartels have turned the streets into a battlefield. However if you break the law and get caught you’re going to get what’s coming to you
SW-User
@SW-User What part of "in lack of a home country" was hard to get? What do you do when everything you used to know does not exist anymore? Again, those who manage to survive need to find a place to start over, of course they won't be legal at first. So, yes, motive does matter.
SW-User
@SW-User there’s a lot about no home country I don’t understand. I don’t know what country has collapsed but those citizens aren’t the ones that’s illegally crossing the United States border
SW-User
@SW-User And you know that because you have asked every single "illegal immigrant" where they're from, right? Or because you obviously know who's legal and who's not. That's exactly what we're talking about here, assumptions, assumption, assumptions.
Those people cross other countries and many locals, just as ignorant as you, tend to have the same thoughts and feelings as you even though they have no idea what's going on around the world and why a person would end up risking everything.

@SW-User Crossing the borders illegally isn't a crime in the US. It's a misdemeanor unless you were previously deported.

@SW-User
[Those people cross other countries and many locals, just as ignorant as you, tend to have the same thoughts and feelings as you even though they have no idea what's going on around the world and why a person would end up risking everything./quote] that’s kinds ironic considering I previously said
I’ll never talk shit about someone who has a small family and lives in a country where cartels have turned the streets into a battlefield. However if you break the law and get caught you’re going to get what’s coming to you
I on a personal level couldn’t care less about the immigration laws than I do about the drug laws I break I’m not a hypocrite but if they’re caught deport them if I’m caught arrest me

@Miram
Crossing the borders illegally isn't a crime in the US. It's a misdemeanor
I won’t judge you too harshly it’s the education system’s fault they failed you

@SW-User except she's right and you're not. Furthermore asylum seeking is not illegal.
SW-User
@basilfawlty89 no but crossing the border illegally is
