Can god change his mind?

For all you believers out there..The God of the old testament was cool with slavery and yet Jesus wasn't down with it at all! So..God has changed his mind..which means he was wrong initially! So not an infallible God after all?

Well the Old Testament is false in its teachings of God so God already had its mind made up.
