What are some good techniques for controlling anger?

I erupt too easily and the littlest things set me off and it’s like something is physically weighing on my brain and I can’t seem to think about anything positive.

Take a deep breath and count to ten before reacting.
Close your eyes too if that helps.

For the long-term, consider things like meditation.
Also find an outlet for your energy. Nothing worse than pent-up frustration.

Personally i find walking a good one. I can get rid of all that anger by walking or jogging for a while.
Also consider if certain people get you to that point.
Can you avoid them ?
