When you’re getting to know someone.. and they share something like “I had a really bad accident” is it okay to ask them what happened?

When someone indicates some kind of trauma, I usually ask, "Do you want to tell me about it?" That indicates interest, and caring and the awareness that they may NOT want to talk about it, and that's okay. If they do, they will and if they don't they won't.

Sure I'd ask.. Seems like they're inviting you to ask!! Why else would they mention it? UNless as a deterrence...................... But I think I might just be looking too deep into this hypothetical situationnnnnnnn!! ┬┴┬┴┤•ᴥ •ʔ

Yeah if they bring it up then its fine, its up to them to elaborate or not after that.

Well, if they brought the issue up, then I think it'd be okay to ask.
