Would it make the world better if no one could lie at all, or would it make everything worse? Why?

Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
The truth is something that is both a blessing and a curse.

It may make or break someone so I would say no it wouldn't.

@Beatbox34 Agreed

Better.... Would be worse at first but as time went on and people adjust to it...... Would be better................. Then again the government would probably have to set up a license or something for being able to ask certain questions or else ya get 15 years!!! ......... Just my theory.. ┬┴┬┴┤•ᴥ•ʔ/

@bearinthehalfwayhouse You might be right! ⁰
I think it would make it better. If anything, it surely would be expedient.

Have you seen "The Invention of Lying?"

You can find it here:

@PhoenixPhail I actually asked this question after watching that movie. Lol

People often mistake honesty and being blunt with hurting the feelings of others.
You can be both honest and blunt, and not hurt someone's feelings.

I think it would make things better.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
I think worse. Something to be said about keeping surprises secret, or being a good listener to a private personal story that shouldn't be shared.

@Starcrossed Agreed.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I think it would be better overall. The truth doesn't have to be expressed in a way that hurts someone.
Shengyen · 26-30, M
hard to imagine even hypothetically
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@Shengyen there are movies...silly, but they make you wonder.
Ups and downs both ways

@PetalPusher I agree.

Sometimes the truth is too cruel.
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
