I'm thinking about subscribing to the i paper (UK) which is £3.12 a week for access to 6 printed copies a week plus the app. Or I could just continue to buy copies individually at 65p each or £1.20 for iweekend.

No I don't. I look at the daily mail very very rarely because it's easily accessible and gives British new and weird news too. But im not a deep following, they have a very one sided view

My city's newspaper stopped printing everyday. So the Net was mandatory.
