Years ago. A friend used to come to my apartment to get away from her boyfriend. Then one night, he followed her and was banging on my door threatening to kick it in. Luckily my neighbor, a big scary guy, came out and held him until the police came and got him. I finally told her if she wasn’t going to leave him, my home was no longer sanctuary. That was too scary for me. 😳
