Love it !!! Good for you x @PainfulTruth

@Projecthonest I wish I was that brave

SW-User
My wife and I fell apart probably 10 years ago. It didn't help that we chose not to have a second child and we couldn't negotiate birth control... we just kinda stopped.

I do my best not to spend resources (money/time) outside of the family so I never cheated on her. I get most of my emotional support from women at work. There have been three distinct women over the years.

I was going to divorce in 2016 but we made a drastic life changing decision which delayed things.

@SW-User so therefor, by default of explaining your situation. It is evident that lack of intimacy with your partner has naturally made you unhappy ?
SW-User
@Projecthonest I'm happy. I've had some really great friendships over the years. All but one of my friendships have been with married women.

Am I disappointed that I have to spend time with a woman who just can't be socially "normal" with people (including myself)? Sure. But I'm not unhappy most of the time.
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
@SW-User sounds good. You’ve got your situation and you’re happy with it, mostly. Nobody can have more than that, I’d say!
DamnFeelz · 36-40, F
No, there are plenty of people in the world who have a conscience. However, long-term lack of sex is a red flag the relationship is in desperate need of repair and will crumble in time without intimacy
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
Oh I agree, I certainly wouldn’t cheat and I’m also not in this circumstance. But I don’t think I could commit to a lifetime without intimacy in my 30’s!! w@DamnFeelz
DamnFeelz · 36-40, F
Nor I, but I would get a divorce before considering cheating @Projecthonest
Not at all... i haven't hopped into anyone else's bed in the years since my husband stopped putting out!!!
@Projecthonest Again, your suggestions still come with sacrifices. Yes, you will get sex those ways, but you still lose out on the security of having just one person in your life (STD's become another possible outcome here, along with insecurity and fighting within your relationship) and there's still the possibility that your partner might not handle it as well in experience as they think they will in their head (Maybe they decline or give it a go, but get insecure down the line).

Affairs are morally wrong because of cheating behind their back, so that one is iff the table for many of us.

Religion can also play a part, too.
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
@HootyTheNightOwl I totally agree. Cheating is not on my cards either. I disagree with everything to do with it.
I understand that religion is a factor for many, on varying levels.
My other suggestions are only workable in a solid relationship, so yes it is for a few, not the majority.
My suggestions don’t always lead to sacrifice, quite the contrary.

@Projecthonest you are so right. I have done most everything in regards to sex. From cheating, swapping, group, swinging, even having someone drop by my GF wanted to do, let them have there time together. I am very open. Sex is very important to me, I love it I enjoy it and can cum every day....as far as my partner, let her enjoy herself as well, I always wanted to date a bi chick, not so much for my pleasure but for hers. She has the best of both worlds. Sex is something that should be enjoyed, if you don’t enjoy having sex there is something that needs to be addressed. I didn’t say something is wrong with you or your partner. If neither cares then so be it, I will never understand that,
SweetMae · 70-79, F
That may not be true. Some people are faithful anyway.
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
@SweetMae yes, I totally agree with faithfulness, 100%.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@Projecthonest No sense in cheating. It is better to just get a divorce.
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
@SweetMae absolutely. I’ve no time for deceit. Makes no sense.
Not if she wants to get shot
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
No argument with the scum = cheaters comment. Murder is possibly a step to far!! But heh!! American gun laws and all 😬@MorbidCynic
Eh I’m not American @Projecthonest
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
@MorbidCynic your loose gun use, confuses me. Apologies.
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
No, it isn’t.....my marriage has been sexless since 2006, and I’m not getting it elsewhere.
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
@DragonFruit not getting it elsewhere out of choice ? Be that love , respect, unavailability, whatever !?
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
No it means they are here having cybersex.
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
@Keepitsimple haha..... perhaps!
But it’s not the same, long term
NenaRussa · 22-25, F
Safe to say, probably not. But possible, yes.
nhclosetnudist · 51-55, M
Hi perfect example of the
“non-receiving” Part of that
And it SUCKS
Withintent · M
More than likely
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
I don’t think so. There’s so many married people here who talk about not having sex in many years.
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit yes, but I wonder how much of it is a sacrifice.
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
@Projecthonest it’s pretty big depending on how they value it
Projecthonest · 41-45, F
Most people value sensuality, at least. That will not be present if theres no sexual connection. @Mrsbetweenfatandfit
