Bipolar,anyone?

Has anyone been in a relationship where the other person is bipolar?
Penny · 46-50, F
yes, my ex-boyfriend has schizoaffective disorder (schizophrenic and bipolar) we were together about ten yars
Penny · 46-50, F
@Gemini16 with a lot of patience and love. he was mostly well controlled with medication but would have occasional flare ups or episodes so it wasn't a constant thing
Gemini16 · 56-60, F
@Penny I think you have to be a strong person to deal with that! And kind too!

@Gemini16 you have to 1. be able to put up with a lot of shit and 2. be able to tune it out when necessary. i actually have schizoaffective disorder too (which is currently well controlled by meds) so I might be a little more sympathetic or understanding than others regarding.
GIANT RED FLAG.

@anythingoes477 to each their own. I'd rather not pass up on a wonderful person because I can't handle emotions. But you do you.

@SW-User I'm looking for direct involvement, like dating or marriage.

@Gemini16 having a sister in law who is bipolar is pretty direct. In my family anyway.
Gemini16 · 56-60, F
@SW-User I agree.
