@Tomorrow May i ask why? how does it help you. someone told me to do it when i wanted to talk to them. it made them “present” he said.

@NiftyWhite I light a candle to simply pay respect and send my thoughts and love with them. I'm not sure they are "present" but it is one way I can find closure and celebrate the joy they brought into my life.

@Tomorrow indeed.i think that’s what the intent was behind my candle too. to observe the moment maybe not in their presence per se but to maybe to make the thought more present. I keep a shelf in my house devoted to my loved one with some treasured items and a photograph. I don’t put the candle there anymore cause it’s enclosed. I just turn the light on in the cabinet.
@Tomorrow some say that the candle is lit for they may find their way to a peaceful place.. and your candle light will help guide them there out from the dark....
Its beautiful
