Me neither, but I did have an ex girlfriend that did. @Psychologykate

@Adec757 My current boyfriend does and I tease him mercilessly! He doesn't do the whole bare feet thing very often at all.

Passion killers! I assume he was never bare foot for indoor p e either? @Psychologykate
Psychologykate41-45, F
@Adec757 I've never asked him

I assume you did?@Psychologykate

@Adec757 Yeah it was the rules for most of our indoor PE lessons. We had to be barefoot for pretty much everything indoor except things like volleyball and basketball in secondary school. We even did dance and drama in bare feet.

Bare foot popular through middles then like you unless it was a ball sport, basketball or 6 a side football it was bare feet. @Psychologykate

@Adec757 Primary school was the same. I don't really remember many occasions of wearing trainers for indoor PE. Even school plays were always bare feet. I think it must be a british thing!
Adec75751-55, M
Music and movement was bare foot in primary and plimsolls for other. Yes we did that but it was usually a nativity play! Think you are right about the British thing!@Psychologykate

@Adec757 I was in the school choir and because of all the clambering up and down onto benches during performances they always made us take our shoes off for the performances so we made less noise. We kept our socks on for that though. Which come to think of it was probably a health and safety issue because of slipping.

The thing is bare feet gripe well and add dexterity to movement. P e would have been better with cleaner floors @Psychologykate
Psychologykate41-45, F
@Adec757 yeah but with the socks on I'm surprised none of us slipped off the benches.
Adec75751-55, M
If you insist on shoes off go the whole way! @Psychologykate
Psychologykate41-45, F
@Adec757 I know. It would have made more sense.
Adec75751-55, M
I teach p e, no socks! It鈥檚 plimsolls or bare feet! For gymnastics bare only!@Psychologykate
Psychologykate41-45, F
@Adec757 That sounds sensible.

Parents complain though.... the floor is too cold to teach them that way! @Psychologykate
Psychologykate41-45, F
@Adec757 seriously?? we did it like that when we were there age and I'm sure the floor was colder back then. And probably a whole lot dirtier as well. I teach in a sixth form college so I doubt our PE staff would have to deal with those kind of complaints.

Oh yes, a regular thing, in the winter term! @Psychologykate
