@Whiterosesociety It was a fear of past generations that the water and metal pipes will draw lightening. I have known a lot of people who still wouldn't.
@Tomorrow Oh, really? I've never heard that before.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@quitwhendone Lol. It is a real issue for some.
@Tomorrow I suppose so. But pipes go into the ground so they are grounded and safe.

@quitwhendone Yes, but not everyone can be convinced.
@Tomorrow what draws it most? I really never much considered this stuff..higher Places?
@Tomorrow Yeah, and you'd be surprised at how many people really think the earth is flat.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@Whiterosesociety Well they say taller objects. That's why you never stand under a tree in a lightning storm.

@quitwhendone Oh I am fully aware there is a flat earth society. 🙄 Idiots.
@Tomorrow well I knew about that...
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@Whiterosesociety I figured you did. I think most are aware of that.
@Tomorrow good thing

Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@Whiterosesociety I have seen videos and news clips cars struck by lightening. 🤷‍♀️
@Tomorrow Yeah, but the occupants were probably ok after the strike.
@Tomorrow so who knows?...I also have seen conflicting reports
