@CANDAULISTHUSBAND Kind of - more of a "hey - Im gone for whatever reason I am and I might be back.
Its only a leaving facebook announcement if they announce it to everyone waiting for them to care before they do it, if they do it at all.

@CANDAULISTHUSBAND i agree theres no need to but some people are just happier to do so. I guess at least their friends will know the person is away and not just ignoring them.
