The images are horrifying

My mum called me not long ago, she told me that Rosedale NSW has burnt to the ground and our family friends home is gone. They are trapped on the beach with no way out. Your father has taken the boat and is going to launch it about 30 ks north of Rosedale and pick them up along with as many as he can fit onboard. Knowing your father he will be doing a few trips.

My poor exhausted dad has just arrived home after being away for the past two weeks fighting the fires. I am constantly worried sick about him.

I was chatting to your mum today, glad to hear your dad got all those people of the beach, he’s the right man for the job. The situation keeps bringing me to tears, l don’t think the rest of the world realise how serious the situation is.
