The images are horrifying

My mum called me not long ago, she told me that Rosedale NSW has burnt to the ground and our family friends home is gone. They are trapped on the beach with no way out. Your father has taken the boat and is going to launch it about 30 ks north of Rosedale and pick them up along with as many as he can fit onboard. Knowing your father he will be doing a few trips.

My poor exhausted dad has just arrived home after being away for the past two weeks fighting the fires. I am constantly worried sick about him.

It must be soul destroying for all those poor people who have lost everything and my heart goes out to friends and family of those who have lost their lives .Our thoughts are with you all .

@Rhodesianman After hearing what my dad has told me it brought me to tears. His crew came across a burnt out car with people in it. They also came across a farmer who was sitting on the side of the road crying with a rifle in his hands, the fire was minutes away from destroying his property (which it did) He risked his life putting down over 200 head of cattle rather than them being burnt to death. The fellas thought he was going to kill him self, he didn’t want to go with them but they forced him.

@Rhodesianman It horrifying and you can’t imagine it unless you’re there. Unfortunately I will reluctantly be there the day after tomorrow 😐️
