The images are horrifying

My mum called me not long ago, she told me that Rosedale NSW has burnt to the ground and our family friends home is gone. They are trapped on the beach with no way out. Your father has taken the boat and is going to launch it about 30 ks north of Rosedale and pick them up along with as many as he can fit onboard. Knowing your father he will be doing a few trips.

My poor exhausted dad has just arrived home after being away for the past two weeks fighting the fires. I am constantly worried sick about him.

Your father is a hero.

@SW-User Thanks although he wouldn’t see it that way. To him it’s just something that needs to be done

That’s exactly the attitude that makes him so. I admire that. @Les02

@SW-User My heart goes out to all the fire victims, nobody on the planet has the resources to deal with such massive distraction, not to mention the wildlife is wiped out

Mine does as well. Truly is a tragedy. I’m just really happy people like your father have stepped up and done what they can. I wish I were there to do my part. @Les02

@SW-User I can’t just standby, we are on our way back from Queensland. I have already rung my boss and told him I won’t be back to work for a while. I can drive trucks and heavy machinery so they’ll find something for me to do

You’re awesome for that! Be safe. @Les02
