My 8 year old had adhd and I’ve been trying to show her how to ride a bike.

I even bought a smaller bike with training wheels and this is very frustrating and tips to help. My 3 year old caught on pretty quickly and he even tried showing her

Same. We JUST got my 8.5 yr old to get it going down a low grade grass hill at the park this fall a month before the snow fell.

Keep at it. Some kids just aren't meant to bike.

I ended up buying my grandson a Evel knevil bike that was to big for him and told him he couldn't have it until he learned to ride on smaller bikes

See and she has 3 bikes I’m sure she wants to ride the other one @MarineBob

Is it the movements or the balance she struggles with?
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
I’ve been showing her how to push it forward and keep her feet on the pedals

@MrsCurious do you have a rocking horse available?
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
[noo 😢 maybe I should go back to basics it’s so frustrating I don’t know what to do @scooogy]

I hear the balance bikes are the way to go not training wheels
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
[see I’ve tried that before it didn’t worked @Subsumedpat]

@MrsCurious balance bike didnt work for us either.
Does she want to learn to ride ? Even if she does, people learn things at different rates. Chances are, she’s also frustrated.

I’m doing wonderful at not showing mine... I just let her do her thing so she doesn’t feel too pressured @bijouxbroussard

She’ll eventually catch on hopefully 😢
