What's the deal with people who post stories but don't want to chat?

Everyone's here for different reasons. Some people only want to post their experiences but don't want to chat in PM...

Sometimes it's called "venting". Chatting often times is not part of that.

They don't wanna get too close to ppl especially possible creeps.

Maybe they don’t want to. Chatting is more personal.
