Why do Americans (supposedly) love the english?

Allow me to just say you are one of my favourite English people!

I hope I'm intelligent enough as an American to have an opinion on this matter.

@JovialPlutonian: There are a lot of Americans, especially in London. Just look up migrant statistics and they're the highest.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: I feel slightly disloyal in disagreeing but it's really not that Americans are the biggest pool of immigrants in the UK - Indian/Pakistan and Poland/Eastern European are the larger in terms of numbers... TO be fair Americans are pretty rare over here tho we do get a fair few AMerican visitors.

highest migrants in London maybe but even that I dont think is necessarily true, unless theyre hiding in buckingham palace having tea with the queen

@Adaydreambeliever: You don't need to be sorry. I have personally worked with Americans. And I have seen your link. But I have also seen a BBC documentary of migrant statistics. Albeit, the documentary has been some years ago.
But I am going to bow out of this debate.

Either way, I don't think ALL English hate Americans.

in your field you must encounter a lot, but come out of it and youll come across few
