She knew she was dead already because her heart didn’t race when he kissed her. Her body was cold, yet he didn’t care. He continued his gentle kisses beneath the silver of the moon in the graveyard.
The others were closing in.
‘You must go’ she whispered with a pain in her voice.
‘I can’t leave you, not again.’ He held on to her tighter than before.
The gravestones rumbled as the floor began to open.
‘Please,’ she begged. ‘Leave!’
