I would jump for joy if they stopped serving meat...go visit a slaughterhouse and you will get it
@Fernie I can't visit any places like that or watch any videos about it. I stopped supporting the meat industry primarily because of the way the animals are treated. It's cruel and inhumane. Animals are considered commodities without feelings or rights. Their treatment is horrifying and grotesque.

@PhoenixPhail Marry me!
@Fernie I'm glad you feel the same as do I about that. 💍

@PhoenixPhail I do! In 1971 I was working in a meat packaging plant and they for some odd reason...took us on a field trip to a slaughterhouse...the men thought it was cool....the women were horrified and angry at the...at what we saw those poor FEELING creatures go through...I never ate meat again and quit that job
@Fernie I'm proud of you. I think EVERYONE who eats meat should visit such a facility. Can you imagine what measures the meat industry would take to keep people from witnessing what goes on in those places. They would spend millions to keep making billions.

I think more people should see this:

@PhoenixPhail Are there animals on this video? Anything horrible?

@PhoenixPhail They do actually spend millions, to keep people from knowing the reality of what goes on in factory farms and slaughter houses.

@Fernie, I know darn well if I allowed myself to look, it would be the end of my meat eating days. I'm ashamed to admit to looking away. But I may rethink that one. I love animals so much and I hate any kind of cruelty in this world.

@Peapod At least you eat with a conscience!
