Do you buy bagged salads or greens?

The other day I bought a bag of baby kale only to discover it slimy and stinky, never again. I had forgotten a friend from EP got horribly ill from a bagged salad. Buyer beware!

Yes, but I've experienced the same thing. If you poke holes in the bag, it will sometimes last longer. I use a blue apple filter in my crisper drawers. They work pretty well.

@SW-User Nice suggestions but once turned off, just won't try again. Going to regular produce dept. and buy fresh Kale and my other greens hon!

@Grateful4you I understand! Slimy, smelly greens are awful!

I don't like bagged salads and greens. I buy a lettuce and other greens like broccoli and asparagus

@Grateful4you interesting. Why do you live in the desert?
@Travelbug Because I got tired of cold and blizzards in the midwest, I live above Palm Springs and It's a nice city. We also have Joshua Tree national park a world reknown place for repelling and stargazing.

@Grateful4you I left a hot country and settled in UK as I like cooler weather.
- always check the condition of the lettuce before purchasing
- always wash before eating, even if the bag says "triple washed"
@lovelywarpedlemon It looked fine from outside, even after a rinse it still had the smell.

Are you now considering planting a few kale plants? 🥳

I go to farmer markets
@Drewman Unfortunately our farmers market only runs in the summer, glad you have it available year round.
