How do you manage if your neighbor’s kid is so noisy, she is only around 1.5 years old

The widow next doors' grandkids came to visit her this morning
she must have given one a referee whistle and that kid didn't stop blowing for what seemed like hours
no responsible adult there to tell them
take a short break ..consider the neighbours for a while
I felt like wringing someones neck
I sure hope my son never makes me a grandma YES I just said that!
I'd sell everything and move to the other side of the world

son are you reading this?
I'm not supporting your kids
and I won't be a baby sitter
or their taxi!

Yeah
I'll pay for my own old age care ...TY

ermm where was I?
play loud music
start hammering and renovating

“wringing someone’s neck,,” that is absolutely what I was feeling a while ago, it’s driving me crazy 😭can’t imagine if there’s many of them,,this one is already too much to handle..@butterflymind1

My g'kids can be loud and I tell them to tone it or give them a quiet activity to do such as coloring, participating in a craft, playing a game, goofing around on a tablet or even taking a bubble bath. There are many ways to quiet them down.

@SW-User I bet they respect what you are saying to them.

Honestly, no one can quiet down a 1 1/2 year outside of when they're eating and sleeping. They can't be reasoned with at that age. It's going to take your neighbor a few years before they can start getting him/her to be quiet. That's IF they are decent parents & even try!

Might be time to move.🤷‍♀️

Sad to say moving out is not an option, No other choice for me than to be very patient. And even if I have not really had much time for a long friendly talk, the parents have been quite nice, brought me food and snacks on one occasion. They are only the nearest neighbor I have so I think in advance if an emergency occurs I might need their help. So yes, there’s not much I can do, but rely on earphones, tons of patience, and a good ability to hide a grouchy face when they’re around 😖😫 .@SW-User

@TessDun Aww. You poor thing. If they've been kind to you than there's a good chance they will try to reel him in when he is capable of understanding.

Yep, noise cancelling earphones are a good option!

With patience, I’m sure you were the same at that age. And one day when you are an elderly woman you will really on the patience of others when you’ve lost your mind and keep kissing yourself.

It’s just that she growls and shouts in super high pitch and she is not even crying 😖😖😫@LadyShagworthy
