No, it doesn’t....eating less makes you lose weight.
If you eat a lot of couscous and other things, you won’t lose weight.

@DragonFruit for me it does. That stuff absorbs its weight of water about a million times and it sits on your stomach for hours

@revenant I’ve eaten a fair amount of it....and at 5’10” tall, I still weigh over 200 lb. It’s a good food to eat, and not as likely to cause weight gain as some other foods....but it will not cause you to lose weight. No food will cause you to lose weight unless you abstain from eating it. Eating less food is what causes you to lose weight.....that or loss of fluids or body parts.

@DragonFruit maybe there is a problem with your stomach ?😅
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
@revenant No, there isn’t...I just eat a lot of food. I have pretty much a "cast iron” stomach, and I enjoy eating.

It’s simple science:
Eat less doughnuts than you usually do, and you will lose weight....eat more couscous than you usually do, and you will gain weight (but probably not enough to offset the loss from the doughnuts). The reason you have a net weight loss is due to consuming less doughnuts....not to consuming more couscous.

@DragonFruit I think everybody has different metabolisms too so what might work for one person might not for the next

@revenant Yes, to an extent, but regardless....eating more food will NOT make you lose weight, no matter what kind of food it is. Trust me on this, I majored in Biology. That’s all I’m going to say, I’ve already spent too much time beating a dead horse here.
