When are the fires even going to end

The bush fires in New South Wales alone have burnt out well over two million hectares since September and rapidly getting worse. Over three million Hectares Australia wide, an area bigger than Wales They’re not expecting weather conditions to help the situation in the foreseeable future, what the hell are we going to do?

Yeah it's really bad... the worst i've seen. Glad i'm not living near them so far, but summer has only just begun so it could get a lot worse in other places too.

@SW-User They are now heading south and two fronts are about to merge, they’ll be in the high country before too long, god help us all.

@Les02 I was just driving north from Melbourne and came across this car on fire. All i could think of is that it was going to start huge bushfire :O

@SW-User Yup and it takes far less than to start a major fire. I still remember seeing dry lighting storms starting fires near our home when we lived in northern Queensland. My dad often launched the boat in case we had to get out in a hurry.

@Les02 Yeah, just a spark can do it. I always thought there was so much rain in Queensland that they'd never get fires, but i recently learned that they do.

@SW-User Up on the cape they normally burn themselves out before they do to much damage. But thanks to the changing environment the thick lush bush lands of southern coastal Queensland is becoming a tinder box like the vic high country. The way things are going there will be none left before to long.
