Sort of. When you hurt. I hurt.
When you care deeply for someone that's just the way it is.
But I always know/remember that my hurt is less than your hurt - and remembering that simple fact empowers me to look for solutions rather than just immersing myself in pure feeling, which wouldn't do either of us any good.
Empathy without boundaries = self destruction.
And forgetting [c=#BF0000]I hurt less[/c] is a boundary I refuse to cross. Because crossing it would make us both victims. And that's not something any responsible caring adult would allow.
