im now in college and this boy asks me all the time how im doing

Me and this boy have been friends since April. We worked together and got super close to the point where we almost slept together. He never asked r how my grades were when I was in high school but he did always want to know how I was doing. We were very good friends. But I always had feelings for him and he doesn't know that. Now that I am in college, he always asks me how I am doing, how my grades are, and in general always checking up on me. When I ask him why he does this he never gives me a reason.
