Disadvantage....I cant reach the back of my kitchen cupboards!! Thats a really pain!

Im my previous house we gutted the kitchen and all the new cupboards were fitted lower than standard just for me! We said we'd do the same here....but we've been here 14 years now and no new kitchen yet.....
