It's my contention that a zombie "apocalypse" would last 5 minutes before it ends with humanity prevailing. I think almost every person on earth has fantasised about what they'd do in such a situation, to the extent that if that fiction ever became a reality, we would be somewhat over prepared and the out break would last all of 5 minutes before we completely eradicated the outbreak.
However, a 'Cthulhian' apocalypse; no one is prepared for that. That'd be game over.

Probably longer than 5 mins...we all fantasise but I'd wager 60% of those people have only seen "Dead Rising" zombies. The zombie one would last a while...but we'd win pretty easy.
