Have you ever been called ignoramus

I got called a pathetic loser the other day by a male in his 50s on here. It effected me for 5 seconds than I realise, he came here to be an asshole not be part of the community. So, whoever called you it, does not know you at all. So ignore them

"ignoramus' could be derived from "ignite" meaning to set fire to and amus could come from amusing...

So probably what the speaker meant was, "You are hot and witty."

That is a verbal assault.
I would at least avoid them and if I couldn’t then directly confront them.
