It's at those times you need to even more. Even if you don't do well or don't do as much as normal--you can take an easy day, if you're not feeling it. But the act of going to the gym when you don't want to is paramount.

If you don't go, that will reinforce the neuronal pathway that gives up when it gets kinda annoying. You keep doing that, you're literally programming your brain to give up. Not just now. But every time in the future.

You need to do it just to do it. It's like brushing your teeth. It's just something that must be done.

Have you ever regretted exercise?
