Christian crusades didn't save the world. It did as much damage to world as Islam in the past. They raped my ancestors to accept Christianity.

@JBird You're deluded. Christians have brought ideas of democracy, women's rights, and tolerance to many parts of the world. Christians are still doing so today.
JBird · F
@Terrasworld wow, you are clueless and wrong. Democracy was introduced by Greeks. If you didn't know, in Bible, women are considered to be even lower than men. They can't raise their voice over men. That's why they excluded Lilith ( Adam's first wife) from Bible because she was smarter than him according to Jewish version. Women's rights was brought by no religious groups. And I am not deluded. Take a look at history. They terrorised people into accepting Christianity. My mother's side of the family are Indians. When Christian missionaries first came to India, they forced Indians to be Christians. They raped them when resisted.

@Terrasworld Like the group who hired a Spanish Major as a translator when they offered free medical assistance in Mexoco IF the People "accepted JC as Lord and Savior. "

People: 'of course, we are good Catholics!' THEM: ' no we mean our brand of Christianity'

Mexican govt threatened to deport them if they didnt stop.

Not true to Jesus of Nazareth.

@Terrasworld And she's a liar.
Terrasworld · 26-30, F
@JBird You're talking about ancient times. Christians have helped to liberate women in many countries around the world. You're focusing on things that happen hundreds and thousands of years ago.
@Terrasworld In the Americas, indigenous people were enslaved and brutally beaten by Spanish missionaries. Many of those who resisted conversion to Christianity were mutilated, having body parts such as ears, fingers or hands cut off.
JBird · F
@Terrasworld you were talking about ancient Christian crusades. But there's still injustice in the Christian community. If Christians actually support women's right, why are they against abortions, why are there less or no women priests, why do some Christians against worshipping virgin Mary, why do priests get away with rape allegations, why do nuns never get justice after being sexually assaulted by priests?
Terrasworld · 26-30, F
@TheFlippantSide The Aztecs were notorious for torture and self-mutilation. They were very evil people; they believed in human sacrifice. I'm not defending the Spanish either but those indigenous people you speak of were ignorant and evil savages. Open your eyes to the truth.
JBird · F
@Terrasworld so Aztecs were 'evil savages' and it's okay to torture them into accepting Christianity?
@Terrasworld I'm an atheist. I'm just pointing out a part of history that is often overlooked. I don't argue with religious people though because it's just as futile as trying to argue about whether unicorns exist.

@JBird You are repeating a bizarre conspiracy theory no serious person who knows more than a youtube video worth of information concerning the Bible believes....only cooks and paranoids. Its the religious equivalent of the 9/11 Truthers.

Prove it if you can. It's easy to say that it's lie when you don't like something. It's not a 'conspiracy theory'. It's history. If you take any history textbooks it perfectly explain how brutal Christian crusaders were. Truth hurts, doesn't it?

@TheFlippantSide The South American issue is a separate one.

Changing the subject doesn't address the question here. Suffice it to say that throwing disembodied heads down a pyramid and carving still beating hearts from people needed to be stopped and Christianity did stop it.

The entire South American sacrificial vs Christian religious issue is too complex to debate here anyway.

Sticking to the main subject would make sense here.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@JBird Yes there are many works of propaganda that in the "minds" of people like you pass for history. I have some actual histories I can recommend...do you?

In case you didn't know it war is always brutal. And nothing was more so than the Moslem invasions of Europe.

As for "the truth" you would not know the truth if it was standing in front of and painted bright yellow.

Now put back on your burka...your husband has finished sticking his ass up in the air and kissing the floor for the fifth time today and wants to beat you some more, habibti.

Please stop proving yourself that you're stupid. I am an ex Christian, not a Muslim. I told here a thousand times my family were forced to be Christians. Your tiny brain must have missed that

Unfortunately, your truth raped and tortured my ancestors. They are still doing that to poor people of india. It's impossible to miss that.
