Drag queens are entertainers, and there have been events where we live that are completely family-friendly, such as a weekend brunch. It's lighthearted fun, and we don't care about the sexual orientation of any of the performers, nor do we apply sociopolitical factors to judge the genre. Age-appropriate drag performances are no different than theatrical actors playing other genders, just that the drag performers use popular music and cabaret as their form of artistic expression. It's okay to have fun without judging someone else, and a song sung by Cher or a talented Cher impersonator (as an example) doesn't alter one's identity or preference. So, no problem with drag performances in our family.
