Why do men get raging boner early in the morning?

Its nice a lot of time but it can get annoying getting poked from behind at 4 in the morning.

holding back the urge to urinate is not the same thing as arousal
He could let it rip ,dreaming for instance he is already in the bathroom
but I bet you would hate waking up in a pissy bed a lot more then being poked
