Why is it harder to make the right decisions?

Why is it easier to choose to carry the burden of doing the wrong things? When it is troublesome both immediately and later on.

Just that small discomfort of making good decisions is followed by relief.

If you're sitting on a bicycle that isn't moving, you will probably fall off. If you know where you're going, balance is easier.

You have to be really clear on your value set and where it will lead you, and understand consequence of stepping outside those values. Even then, what you say is true.
