Napoleon wasn't actually short? He was around 5'6 pretty normal for the time period the myth of him being so short was most likely British propaganda. The average heights and proportions are increasing as the generations go on.

I think I'd read that there was also difference in standards then and he was just about 6 feet. but things persist. like the story of carrots being good for night vision.
@dirge They "are" good for your vision in the same way as a healthy snack is "good" for overall body health.
@CorkyCourtney they don't really help with night vision any more than anything else. it was a cover story to help keep newly invented radar under wraps. a way to explain to the germans how the hit rate on inbound bombers suddenly went up when it was introduced.
