Does your phone ever confuse you?

When I'm texting and want to send a photo (No. To my daughter.), the phone goes first to the camera and whatever is in the viewfinder shows on the screen. When that just happened, what's in the photo below is what I saw. For a bit I thought I was looking at a photo of the space shuttle or something I didn't remember taking.

Then I realize it was my breathing machine mask.

Too many options on those things. Reminds me of car stereos before touchscreens where a button had like 15 functions and you had to play those things like a piano if you wanted to adjust something. Now the same thing is happening to touchscreens
I keep a little bag of bread crumbs near and sprinkle them on the screen so I can get back to where I was if I go astray. @SW-User

It depends what type of software your phone has, but maybe what you're clicking is the Camera icon. Maybe try looking for something that looks like a file folder icon, or a paperclip icon, to access photos in your gallery.
It's an iPhone and as far as I know accesses photos by first clicking the camera icon and then Photo Library.@caccoon
