Dear British People,

enough is enough.
Really. Stop making an ass of yourselves. You are nice and kind and lovely people, do you really want to become the laughing stock of the civilized world?
"The people have spoken", haha. Just accept the fact that Brexit was/is/will always be a textbook example of a crackpot idea that leads nowhere but down.
Now get rid of the Demonic Possession and come back home please. We Europeans aren't perfect either, and we will happily accept your sincere apologies. Just send us a bottle of Isle of Skye whisky and an annual subscription to the Royal Shakespeare Company, and we will be fine. See you in Paris/Berlin/Rome next summer, let's get drunk [and I mean drunk!], and let's have a good laugh together, about this present madness. 馃尫

Yours cordially,
helenS.

[Note added: this post is no longer relevant. The majority of British people have now decided, at their peril, to harm their own interests, and "get Brexit done". So be it. Go find more trustworthy friends. Mr. Trump is waiting for you. 馃槙]

Just to be clear the majority of British people did not vote to leave as sadly about 30% were undecided and chose not to vote. The referendum was a bad idea, badly executed by a government who wanted to remain who thought they could not loose.

@MrAverage1965 The whole thing was totally erratic. I kind of remember that BJ was against Brexit in the beginning.

@fairefoutre I think the Welsh also voted for Leave.
MrAverage196561-69, M
@fairefoutre very true

@helenS true and the Scots not sure what that says about the English

@fairefoutre It's too late now. Maybe the next generation will decide to come back to our European mother ship. Who knows? You'd be most welcome. 馃尭

@helenS by the way I voted remain as did my kids, the majority of the younger generations did. It was the older people who swayed the vote and they won't be here to see the consequences.

@MrAverage1965 Thank you for voting for Europe. 馃

@helenS Kind of remember presumably means you don鈥檛 remember.

@MrAverage1965 It says that they value their independence.

@helenS No Boris definitely switched sides after the referendum was called.
helenS36-40, F
@MartinII No it means I don't have the source at hand.

@MrAverage1965 Thank you!

@helenS Well it鈥檚 not true. It is true that people were wondering which way Johnson would jump. It may even be true that he considered privately supporting Remain, though I doubt it. But he never supported Remain publicly. (All his family are rabid remainers. Make of that what you will.)

@MartinII Thank you for this valuable information.
