Dear British People,

enough is enough.
Really. Stop making an ass of yourselves. You are nice and kind and lovely people, do you really want to become the laughing stock of the civilized world?
"The people have spoken", haha. Just accept the fact that Brexit was/is/will always be a textbook example of a crackpot idea that leads nowhere but down.
Now get rid of the Demonic Possession and come back home please. We Europeans aren't perfect either, and we will happily accept your sincere apologies. Just send us a bottle of Isle of Skye whisky and an annual subscription to the Royal Shakespeare Company, and we will be fine. See you in Paris/Berlin/Rome next summer, let's get drunk [and I mean drunk!], and let's have a good laugh together, about this present madness. 🌷

Yours cordially,
helenS.

[Note added: this post is no longer relevant. The majority of British people have now decided, at their peril, to harm their own interests, and "get Brexit done". So be it. Go find more trustworthy friends. Mr. Trump is waiting for you. 😕]

@Platinum You are aware, that the EU budget is also decided with your own politicians in the council and in the parliament right?

There might be a democratic defecit from voter to EU institutions. But every politician in your country that blames the EU as an institution that as some sort of character just rises taxes, is blatantly lieing. Every politician that tells you a story, that UK politicians have nothing to say in the matter, are blatantly lieing. And if you believe this crap, you just let yourself be dooped by politicians looking for a scapegoat and pointed the finger to the EU, where your governement has a voice in.

No, you feel that they have bullied you. Everything "feels" that way, because you probably are hooked on some media outlet and you listened a bit much to politicians that are looking for scapegoats. And because you feel a certain way you act and speak a certain way. But that doesn't make it true.

No lies I watch most times when the eu sit and I've seen with my own eyes how nasty they were when they had May , who was weak at the table....what is your problem....we want to leave, which is legal and in Europe law....it's not a crime....why are you so worried....and you are worried for them , not us...@Kwek00
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Platinum If you want to leave, that's your own political choice.

But the idea that you were "bullied" and that the EU drives up taxes... is just bizar. If you can't back it up, then you are the one bullieing by just demonising an institution.

Oh, honestly, I'm also worried for the UK. But every country is allowed to seek it's own destiny, if that is fortune or digging their own grave... that's for history to decide.

@fairefoutre 🤷‍♂️ since when did you became a prophet. Every change moves you through a point of uncertainty. Where you stand ideologically is ussually what makes you say that it's going to be good or bad. And depending on your conviction it becomes "best" or "worst". But we can fairly say that this transitionally periode will be pretty harsh. That doesn't mean that there can't be an upliving afterwards.

I'm more infuriated with this demonisation tactics that get parroted around. If you want to talk about something, at least keep it as real as it can be. But a lot of citizens are swallowing this distored bullshit, and feel good about themselves because they are part to the delusional team. 💪
That's the part I'm angry about. Read a fuckin book instead of listening to salespersons. And make no mistake, politicians are salespersons. They lie. They want to sell you shit, and once you bought into it, your house is full of bullcrap you didn't want to begin with, and you wonder what got you there. And then you have to blame something, and it's ussually not yourself, because for some fucked up reason, you are always the smart one.
Platinum · M
@Kwek00 it was the people's choice....I can easily prove we pay more now and you can easily source it yourself....you can't watch politics as much as me...why have I got to prove anything to you, I say they bullied us and you from no experience, disagree, I don't care....you being an European , makes you scared of us leaving as it will cost you more money each year....we are leaving no argument....
Platinum · M
@fairefoutre you wait and see who is better off and when the scots see how well we are doing, they won't want a referendum....explain with facts how it will be a disaster....

Can't answe the question, too hard for you.....time you pay back the money you owe us , you won't have many resources@fairefoutre
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Platinum So far we heared 0 reasons how the UK was being bullied. Why you should explain yourself? Because you make the positive claim. If I call you a stupid fuck, I'll substantiate why I call you a stupid fuck. That's how it works if you want to talk about something. You say something, and you back it up. Else it's just "feelings" and I vomit on people that feel to much and think to little.

See like this bunch of bullcrap:
you being an European , makes you scared of us leaving as it will cost you more money each year....we are leaving no argument....
After I said:
If you want to leave, that's your own political choice.

I'm also worried for the UK. But every country is allowed to seek it's own destiny, if that is fortune or digging their own grave... that's for history to decide.
Because I literally say, that you can go. And that even though I have an opinion about it, you have the right to go. So I don't give a fuck about how I feel about this issue, because I believe you guys made a vote and you should move out. That has nothing to do with you saying that you were bullied and being unable to explain how you were bullied.

Your resources? They are our resources.....and yes your part of the nation debt.....you talk so tough.....we can have a referendum when we want, we can keep the pound and now we will only pay you if we want.....you have a lot to learn...@fairefoutre
helenS · 36-40, F
@fairefoutre Every country is free to leave the union, of course, but not every nation is free to remain therein. The Scottish nation, for example, has no choice. 😕
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@fairefoutre I don't see how scotland matters. scotland btw, will also go to a transition. If they want to become a member by themselves they also have to apply and go trough the procedure, unless you know something I dont know. But they'll be able to get quicker into the trade-deals since a lot of their economy is already leveled with EU guidelines.

But I really wonder how Scotland is going to handle their monetary pollicy? Are they going to keep the pound sterling? Without having annything to say in how the pound is handled? Are they going to take the disaster what is the Euro as their coin? because... I don't know? Are they going to make their own coin?

You will see...but as you will still be part of the U.K. with no power in Parliment , you will do as you are told.....most scots don't think like you ...@fairefoutre

@fairefoutre That's all nice... and the UK felt that they could get out while snappin their fingers, and that there would be no problem. I first want to see it in practise before I start agreeing with how easy it is. Lord Kerr is just as a much a salesperson as all the other politicians.
