That doesn't mean they aren't good for you. The excess gas is caused by a reaction with your digestive bacteria in the large intestine that poses no threat to your health.

I love veggies but have gastroparesis so therefore I'm not supposed to eat them, but I can't resist it sometimes and I enjoy a nice salad or some broccoli with cheese.
