Are you a true listener or do you respond without really listening and respond without understanding the full situation?

That's REALLY a great question. I always try to put my own stuff away and listen to what's being said. But a thought of a response might interrupt that, and find it's way out of me before I've heard the full story. I'm usually a very good listener, though.
