@MissLlyn I know - I looked it up - I think it used to be called "noise that bugs you" - Now they slap a label on it so the medical people can suck mo money from the endless supply that we all have.

@MissLlyn Look - what ever you have I am sorry - but lots of noise freak me out - I never gave it a second thought I always figured a noise is a noise - like a baby screaming, that does it for me. So now do I have that Misophonia. I am just a little skeptical of everything being labeled - actually everyone of US will be labeled.

@MarmeeMarch I'm in the UK and sadly, this is a real thing. It's different to just finding sounds annoying, it's debilitating, lonely and I wouldn't wish it on anyone 🙁

@MarmeeMarch its labeled because some people do and don't have a strong reaction to such noises.

some tolerate it, I and others will have a full blown panic attack.

it's not about slapping a label, its to inform and let some people understand why we act that way to certain noises.

@Starsandfire Like I said I hate annoying sounds too - but I dont want someone to say I have that. I mean I really dont care. But when it comes time to apply for health insurance or answer questions about my health - I dont want to have to check yet another box.
