Well, Iron Man is apparently in the upcoming Black Widow film... So in a way, yes to both.

Marvel films is really going to go down the shitter without Cap, Iron Man, and Black Widow though.

On the plus side, it doesn't look like Captain Marvel is going to be the figure head for Marvel in phase four, she's not proven very popular (no surprise there)

@Quizzical why is that not a surprise?

@silkandlace The character is not popular in the comics, and her own title has been cancelled owing to low sales about six times or so, her film was incredibly mediocre (and seriously fucked up canon), and frankly Brie Larson lacks any 'stage presence' or charisma (or for that matter, acting ability) in it. Considering she is an Oscar winner I'd have expected more from her than the phoned in, wooden performance she presented.

Personally I think they should have gone for the Monica Rambeau version of Captain Marvel rather than Carol Danvers...About the most interesting thing to happen to Danvers was Rogue stealing her powers.

All in all, the Carol Danvers version of Captain Marvel, works well enough as a team member, but she's just not interesting enough to carry a film. Especially as they've ramped up her abilities far beyond anything she is capable of in the comics.

When you have a character who is pretty much invincible and can do anything, then writing believable threats for them becomes extremely difficult. It's why Superman stories have Kryptonite, 'red sunlight', and Lois Lane... Heroes need to have vulnerabilities, and be taking risks otherwise what they are doing just isn't heroic.

@Quizzical Captain Marvel could have worked if she was portrayed by a different actress but seeing Brie Larson is like looking at a dry wall. Also in the comics, Capt. Marvel's powers are taken away after she loses a fight with Rogue from The X-Men.
