I can smell what you're cookin', brother. I am a straight, conservative, Cristian, white male. I've always been a live and let live kinda guy, and always stuck up for the bullied, for whatever they were being harassed for. There's just no need for it in my mind.
However, some things have slightly changed for me, while others dramatically, if I'm being honest. I don't go after individuals for their differences, but I will speak my mind, when I feel it appropriate. This has nothing to do with putting others down, or claim an entire group as this or that. It's much more about being tired of others shoving things down the throats of others, and protesting the BS!
Now I've never been a political man either, but that changed in my mid 40s. When Obama ran in his 1st term, politics was still background noise for me, but I liked the principals he was campaigning on, and had hopes for him. After he got into office, did the exact opposite of what he promised, and basically started dismantling some very important aspects of our nation, I woke up.
After the whole Biden / Harris fiasco, I began to see their outspoken supporters a lot differently. Our nation's political differences went from a healthy difference of opinion to one side either ignorant of the enemies inside our public offices, to outright supporters of those enemies. Either way, I have no room in my life for them. I straight cut a few people out of my life. Not many, because thankfully most Americans see what's what.
I can go down a list and get into the nitty gritty, but I prefer not to. I prefer to put my energy into understanding who's who, and showing up at the poles. Arguing with sheep and saboteurs gets me nothing, and only serves to steal my time. Besides, we don't have to argue with the minority.
If the 2024 election showed us all anything, it's that a HUGE majority of Americans woke up. Ultimately, I thank those who we stomped in that election and kicked to the curb for their gross incompetence. They brought a record number of us out of the woodwork and to the poles to end the madness.
Our fight is far from over, so get out there at mid-terms and vote red. Republicans aren't a whole lot better, but one thing at a time. If we vote out the ones who are obviously attacking our nation from the inside, we can work on the sellouts, lazy, stupid and corrupt next term. We hammered the living hell outta them in '24, we can do it again in '26!
It's not just about our presidency, as so many of us used to believe. We are now learning what it looks like when we vote in a presidential candidate for his policies, and the ones who are supposed to be representing us, and taking OUR voices to the floor, vote against these policies, time and time again.
No one does that more than the blue! So let's simply start there. Out with the Dems and in with the Republicans. Remove the poison and we can make other necessary repairs as we go. Lose the House or the Senate again, and we are going to witness two and a half more years of the corruption voting against the good policies we elected our President for to begin with.
