Dear Wife went through it. Hers lasted about 5 weeks. The first 2 weeks were the worst. She had to wear an eye patch since she couldn't blink in one eye.

@DoubleRings Yeah it can be a bit rough. Dear Wife wanted to just stay in bed or lay on the couch. No energy. The daughter's old Siamese cat was her constant companion.
ha. mine is too. did she recover fully? @hippyjoe1955

@DoubleRings Yes she has no lingering effects. Funnily enough Dear Wife's cousin was recently diagnosed with Bells Palsy too.

One of my best friends looked like he had a stroke ,it was pretty bad
He had some trouble speaking ,but his face
He was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy ,it wasn't a stroke
It took a while but all the sudden as quick as the symptoms appeared
they were gone
did he get meds? @rckt148

@DoubleRings I believe they gave him steroid
but he was a Vet ,,Animals not a soldier
I think he gave himself shots
They say if its going to right itself it takes around 6 months
I don't think it was nearly that long for him

Someone suggested messaging it ,,I think he did that a lot

Hippyjoes comment reminded me he had to tape his eye shut
not blinking dried his eye out ,,so he tapped it shut

My mother had it. A doctor told me that in almost all cases, it does go away quickly. (It did not for my mother, but I learned that she was the very, very rare exception.) I hope yours also goes quickly.
