Do you like raking leaves in the fall?

@Virgo79 You know I did that last year because the leaves kept falling after I cleaned them up, they wouldn’t fall off all at once and then the neighbor’s leaves blew into the yard. I did it about 3 times. But still need to rake a bit around the fence and flowerbeds.

@Virgo79 lots of snakes. you have an attachment that takes up the leaves blow them into bags behind the mower then you dump the bags from your riding mower into the trailer? then take them down to the compost center?? 😺

@trackboy I do have a vac.
And take them to my compost pile🙂

@cherokeepatti yea there's always some in places it's hard to get to😥
And I got lots of leaves😥

@trackboy it's factory made, I just adapted it to the mower.

@Virgo79 how was it adapting it to the mower. probably need a bigger mower. a triple rotor deck with a diesel tractor 4 wheel drive. you could mow really fast with it. and it comes with a three bag leaf catcher that has 3 bags behind the mower and a big pipe from the side going ot the back for picking up leaves at the end of the season. 😺

@Virgo79 my dad has that for our yard. we have a big yard too. part of it is on hillside😺 and he has to be able to go up the hillside with it. was 15 grand for the mower.

@trackboy I have a lot of stuff to get around and between for that.
Otherwise I'd use the big mower

@Virgo79 When I was a teen we lived on a couple of acres, full of blackjack trees. And it wasn’t a smooth flat yard either, mowing around all those trees and avoiding natural rocks was hell to do with a riding lawnmower. Mow of the time I preferred to use the push mower.

@cherokeepatti when I was a kid that's all we had, and a lot to mow.

@Virgo79 Mostly me too, and I’d get heat cramps during the summer. Wasn’t too bad in spring and fall.

@cherokeepatti that would bite with a push mower. was it at least self propelled?? what kind of heat cramps did you get?? 😺

@trackboy the old was not self-propelled and it was lightweight and easier for me to push than the self-propelled one. I got stomach cramps, I guess I was losing magnesium & potassium. I had heat exhaustion about a month ago and had cramps all over my body.

@cherokeepatti I remember having to have all the mowing done before I was allowed to do anything else, no bike, swimming,no nothing,lol.
I used to get so mad😂

@Virgo79 I did it to help keep my uncle from doing it all by himself. He worked a full-time job and had one leg shorter than the other due to an accident when he was young. My sisters would help maybe one time to get their bragging rights and then find somewhere to go hang out so they didn’t have to do more. I don’t think either one did the entire yard by themselves at any time when they did help.
