Have you ever quit anything for a good reason?

12 years ago I quit rowing in order to spend more time with my son. I used to wake up at 4am every morning except on Saturdays and row between 16 to 20 Kms on the water, plus weight lifting and running. I don't regret it, but I miss everything about rowing.

I quit smoking in 2004 because it was bad for my health. I'm a typical ex smoker who thinks smoking is disgusting

I feel it's a pity that you can't continue your hobby, it's a good one.

@SW-User Fair game to you for quitting such a horrid habit!

I might go back if I change my work routine, which starts at 6:30 am.

@SW-User I smoked for 6 months when I was at university, but then I started rowing and the smoking had to go. LOL! Rowing was sooooo much better than smoking!

@SAAB71 It really is, smoking is stupid and does nothing for you, it's such a waste of time

@SW-User Somehow, the media and other people managed to shove the idea that smoking is an elegant act into our weak minds, innit?! I also found myself stupid even when I was smoking!
