Why are they so stingy with the amount of decongestant in cold medicine?

@cherokeepatti they're going to anyway! I just want to be able to breath when I have a cold! lol

@luvnsunshine Yeah but they are limited in how much they can buy and they won’t make much. I use natural medicine when I have a cold, those decongestants can cause rebound effect where you get one after another cold especially in the winter.

@cherokeepatti what kind of natural medicine do you take? I might try!

@luvnsunshine Colloidal silver for infections, get in a hot shower for sinus congestion, eat something spicy like wasabi mustard (egg roll hot mustard) to open up sinuses, make chicken soup with garlic, etc., drink lemon juice several times a day in a glass of water, rooibos tea (if you don’t have an autoimmune disorder). Hot black tea with honey is good too.

@Oster1 It’s from South Africa, available in the USA. It’s in some of the Celestial Seasonings varieties of tea. I have to check all the labels before I get a new tea because I have rheumatoid arthritis and don’t want it to flare up. It overstimulates my immune system (like spiralina does).

@Oster1 I have to be careful with turmeric, it’s easy to get too much. I just use it for cooking sometimes.

@Oster1 Celestial seasonings with rooibos: Cranberry Vanilla Wonderland, Madagascar Vanilla, Tangerine Orange Zinger, Turmeric Spice, Tropical Fruit. Twinings Orange & Cinnamon Spice also has it.

@Oster1 Not everything that is beneficial for it is beneficial for me. I have to be careful with anything that creates acid in my body. Aspirin is supposed to be good for arthritis pain & inflammation and it does just the opposite with me.
