Would u marry someone with a different religious belief than u ?

It depends on what religion. So much of that embedded reward and punishment stuff Christianity shoves into people's heads, bleeds over into other aspects of their lives and contaminates more than just their religious connections. I can't see being in a relationship with a member of the morality police.

I don't find those controlling elements of reward and punishment in Buddhism. I could marry a Buddhist, even though I'm not one.

I have and know many couples like us. It is called being respectful to each other.

I really think that exclusion is religion at its worst. Religion is for us to generate inner qualities, not evaluate the worth of other people.

I know in the case of the religion I was brought up in-- it wouldn't be overly supportive of a healthy relationship.

I don't care what someone's background is. As long as they're just a regular person who doesn't bother with any of that shit, they're cool with me.
